Thank A Teacher Day Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

1. The Promoter
   1. We are Blue Light Card Ltd, whose registered office address is at Charnwood Edge Business park, Syston Road, Cossington, Leicester, Leicestershire, England, LE7 4UZ (referred to below as “Blue Light Card”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
2. The Prize Draw
   1. These terms and conditions apply to our ‘Thank a Teacher Day - Prize Draw’ (the “Prize Draw”).
   2. By entering the Prize Draw, you are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions and by any other requirements set out in the promotional material relating to this Prize Draw. We reserve the right to refuse entry or refuse to award a Prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions. A copy of these terms and conditions shall be available online on our website for the duration of the Prize Draw and for four (4) weeks after the Draw Date, at Competitions | Blue Light Card.
3. Eligibility
   1. The Prize Draw is open to all residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 years or over, who are registered Blue Light Card members under our Teacher sign-up category who work in or are retired from the teaching community (such as teachers, teaching assistants, early years educators, and all school support staff), except for our employees and their immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), their agents or any third party directly associated with the administration or promotion of the Prize Draw (such eligible participants are referred to below as “BLC Members”).
   2. Entry to the Prize Draw is free for BLC Members. No ticket or entry purchase of any kind is necessary to take part in the Prize Draw.
4. Entry and Prizes
   1. The Prize Draw is available to enter from our website or mobile application.
   2. A BLC Member will successfully qualify to be entered for the Prize Draw when they log into their Blue Light Card account during the Entry Period.
   3. Entries are limited to one (1) per person.
   4. The opening date for entries is 17 June 2026 (the “Opening Date”). The closing date for entries to the Prize Draw is 11:59 PM on 21 June 2026 (the “Closing Date”). This is the “Entry Period”.
   5. Entries submitted before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date shall not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
   6. We will not accept:
      1. responsibility for entries that are corrupted, or not successfully completed or transmitted due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind;
      2. responsibility for any technical interruption, fault or site failure that occurs when entering the Prize Draw; or
      3. proof of transmission or submission as proof of receipt of entry to the Prize Draw.
   7. Fifty (50) winners will be chosen by random draw using a computer process on Monday, 22 June 2026 ("Draw Date"). Each winner will be allocated one Prize only.
   8. The winners will each receive a Prize as set out in this clause (a “Prize”). Each of the fifty (50) winners will receive  one (1) randomly allocated £100.00 Shopping Card from the following list:
      1. 8 x £100.00 ASDA Shopping Cards
      2. 7 x £100.00 Argos Shopping Cards
      3. 7 x £100.00 Currys Shopping Cards
      4. 7 x £100.00 Marks & Spencer Shopping Cards
      5. 7 x £100.00 Morrisons Shopping Cards
      6. 7 x £100.00 Sainsbury’s Shopping Cards
      7. 7 x £100.00 Tesco Shopping Cards.
   9. The total value of all available Prizes is £5,000.
   10. Each Prize will also be subject to its own individual set of exclusions and terms and conditions as set out by the relevant third-party provider of the Prize. Please check the terms and conditions on the Prize carefully for any limitations or validity periods for redemption. Unfortunately, we are unable to extend the validity period of any Prizes and will not be liable for expired Prizes or limitations imposed by a third-party retailer at the point of redemption.
   11. The Prize does not include any expenses incurred by the winners when taking up or using the Prize, including but not limited to travel, parking, food, drink, or accommodation expenses, insurance (if required), and any other expense or cost in excess of the balance of a Shopping Card or any cost that is outside of the scope of the Shopping Card. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the taking up or use of the Prize are the responsibility of the winner.
5. General
   1. In entering the Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim each Prize. We may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the Prize Draw.
   2. The Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed or associated with any social media platform including Facebook, Tik Tok or Instagram.
   3. Neither Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok nor any other social media platform are responsible for any element of the Prize Draw and you release them from any liability.
   4. We reserve the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
   5. We, our agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate any winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of the winner taking up or using a Prize except where it is caused by the negligence of us, our agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your legal rights are not affected.
   6. The Prize Draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the Prize Draw submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
6. Data Protection and Publicity
   1. We will collect and process your personal data as necessary to perform the Prize Draw and in order to comply with our legal obligations, including to select and verify winners,  deliver the Prize to the winners, and where permitted, notify third parties of the results (as required by applicable advertising regulations).    2. We must publish or otherwise make available information that indicates a valid Prize Draw took place. To comply with this legal obligation, we may publish on our webpage the surname and county of the winner, or winners where applicable.
   3. If you object to any or all of your details being published or made available, please contact us at: mailto:dpo@bluelightcard.co.ukdpgovernance@bluelightcard.co.uk. In such circumstances, we must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority or any other regulator on request.
   4. A winner may be asked to take part in publicity related to the Prize Draw. Such publicity might (upon request) include use of the winner’s social media handle. Participation is at the winner’s discretion and is not a condition of entry or of Prize acceptance.

   2. The Ballot is open to all residents of the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man aged 18 years or over who are registered Blue Light Card members, except for our employees and their immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside), their agents or any third party directly associated with administration or promotion of the Ballot.
   3. The Ballot is free to enter. No purchase of any kind is necessary to take part in the Ballot.
   4. To enter the Ballot, you must log into the Blue Light Card website or mobile application, select the Shopping Cards Ballot tile, and then click the blue “Enter ballot” button.
   5. Entries are limited to one (1) per person.
   6. The opening date for entries is 09:00 on 4 June 2026 (the “Opening Date”). The closing date for entries to the Ballot is 22:00 on 14 June 2026 (the “Closing Date”).
   7. Entries submitted before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date shall not be accepted and will be automatically disqualified.
   8. We will not accept:
      1. responsibility for entries that are corrupted, or not successfully completed or transmitted due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind;
