This week, we’re thinking about how to relax and unwind – which feels especially important right now.
\r\n2020 has been a year unlike any other. Whether you’ve been working on the front line or supporting friends and family through difficult times, we’ve all had to face new challenges and try to stay positive despite the hardship.
\r\nTaking a break from social media and the news can help. Being on top of what the media tells us 24/7 is not good for anyone’s mental health, so try to take regular breaks and limit how often you check in, if you can.
\r\nEmbrace your hobbies and activities which make you feel good! This might be taking some time for yourself away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life, reading a book, going for a dog walk or spending time with loved ones (providing you are following guidelines, of course!)

The mental health charity Mind is a great first step in accessing professional help, or try to talk to a trusted friend, family member or your GP about how you’re feeling if you feel overwhelmed.
